November 21st
Back to Atco for the season finale of the OGS points series. Coming into this race Loan Prayoonto is #1 in points and Tim is #2 with Jake right behind him at #3.
Jake set the pace right away qualifying #1 with running a new personal best and resetting the world record once again with a 10.05 @ 136. Tim qualified #3 with a 10.28 @ 130. Tim could not continue due to transmission problems.
Jake paired off against Jose Bello in the finals. Jose ran a 10.17 @ 134. It wasn't enough for Jake because once again he ran a new personal best and broke the World Record for quickest and fastest e.t. during competition with a 10.03 @ 136. This car just got quicker and quicker towards the end of the season.
Loan Prayoonto ended up winning the championship. After winning this race Jake was able to secure the #2 spot with Tim taking 3rd place in points.
Overall the season was a success for TGR despite its ups and down. We have a lot of things planned for the hatchback and coupe. Some of these things include some cosmetic changes and also some changes to the engine program. Keep checking back for updates on the off season.
November 7th
World Cup Finals at MIR is another one of our favorite races. The air is always great along with the track prep and we usually run our personal best e.t.'s there.
It seems like everyone was swinging or the fences right off the bat during qualifying. The field was VERY tight. With two mustangs running 10.0s, Jose Bello with a 10.10 and Norris Prayoonto with a 10.11 made up the top 4. Jake qualified #5 with a 10.16 @ 135 and Tim #6 with a 10.19 @ 131 which was his new personal best. So the field was really tight.
Tim and Jake both won the first round and moved on to the second round. Tim faced Jose Bello but broke an axle on the start line and was eliminated. Jake paired off against Norris Prayoonto and it was a very close race. Jake running 10.25 @ 134 but wasn't enough for Norris running a 10.21 @ 134.
On a good note Tim was able to make a test pass after getting eliminated and he was able to beat his personal best again with a 10.13 @ 131.
We have one more race this season which is the Honda Day make up to finish up the OGS points series.
October 3rd
What a great weekend for racing at Englishtown Raceway Park for the 3rd Annual All Motor Shootout. This is TGR's favorite race of the year as I'm sure it is for most that run in the all motor category. This race with its $5000 1st place prize brings racers from all over the country. Which makes for the best competition.
Tim qualified strong at #2 with a 10.295 @ 129 and Jake qualified #10 while taking a shake down pass after just coming off of the dyno early Saturday morning.
Tim was able to make it to the semi finals but could not continue due to an engine failure. He ended up taking 4th place. After Jakes slow start of a 10.753 @ 130 during qualifying he never looked back. First round facing Albert Toro from Certified Racing Jake ran a blistering 10.18 @ 133.9 to Albert's 10.39 @ 129.
Second round Jake faced off against West Coast favorite Joel Sipes from Speed-Factory. Joel ran a new personal best of 10.31 @ 129 but it wasn't enough for Jake while running a 10.19 @ 133.8.
In the semi finals Jake had to race the current record holder Jose Bello. Jake knew he had to bring his A game and that he did with running a new world record of 10.13 @ 134.5 while Jose ran a 10.17 @ 131.9. This went down as the quickest and fastest side by side pass in the all motor street class.
Jake was set to face Loan Prayoonto in the finals but unfortunately due to track curfew they were unable to run and they split the pot. With how consistent and fast Jake was I'm not sure anyone could have beat him yesterday.
Congrats to Jake for doing as well as he did and setting a New World Record! Next stop is MIR for the world famous US Army World Cup Finals.
September 12th
Yesterday we were at Atco Raceway for another North East Tuner Showdown. Jake sat this one out while getting his car ready for the All Motor Shootout next month. Tim was the #1 qualifier with a 10.401 @ 131.31. He faced off against Jeff Rosario in the finals. Jeff ran a new personal best of 10.642 @ 128.97 but it wasn't enough for Tim's 10.412 @ 130.89 take the win. Make sure to check back here next month with updates on the 3rd Annual All Motor Shootout.
August 22nd
After the rain out last week we were excited to start racing again. So back at Englishtown for the rain make up for Honda Day. Jake qualified #2 with a 10.47 and Tim #3 with a 10.56. But once again mother nature was not cooperating and we were not able to run eliminations due to the rain. The makeup date has not yet been decided so stay tuned for updates.
August 15th
After an outstanding finish for both TGR cars at the first Honda Day Atco event, we could not wait for the next one which was at Englishtown. Unfortunately due to mother nature the race had to be postponed until next week August 21st. Please support our sport and try to make it out next week to see some of the world’s fastest hondas.
August 8th
Off to Maryland International Raceway (MIR) for Import Revolution. This track is known for hosting the world famous import vs. domestic US Army World Cup Finals. With Tim now sitting this race out now it was time for Jake to carry the team. And that he did with qualifying #1 with a 10.515 @ 130. Jake went up against local favorite Loan Prayoonto in the finals. He ran a 10.525 @ 130 to win the race. Jake was very consistent yesterday. Consistency wins races.
June 27th
Back to Englishtown for the 16 Annual Sport Compact Summer Slam. With Jake sitting this race out it was up to Tim to try and carry the team. With qualifying #1 with a 10.522 they were confident that they can get it done. Unfortunately Tim came up short with a 3rd place finish. A 3rd place finish was good enough to hold on to the #1 spot in points.
May 23rd
Next stop for TGR was North East Tuner Showdown at Atco Raceway. After coming off of a win at Spring Nationals Tim was looking to repeat. Tim and Jake qualified #2 and #4. With a tough field Tim was able to make it to the finals against Loan Prayoonto but ended up placing 2nd due to a transmission failure. Tim and Jake remain #1 and #3 in points.
